I didn’t want to play around... I wanted to continue on my big tennis painting... but Pacey had the day off school, so we got out paints in the kitchen during Rex’s nap.
She wanted to do abstract- so we did. We experimented with putting in the background last and it got me thinking about applying some of this idea and technique to my more predictable paintings. Or to take one of my paintings and see how simple I could make it only using 3 values and limited marks fo translate. Just jotting some mental notes and thinking out loud.
Long story short- playing, even when you don’t want to, is always good.
And I dig the large scale art we made:
Mine
Pacey’s
